Civil Defense

Civil Defense

Civil defence is an effort to protect the citizens of a state from military attacks and natural disasters. It uses the principles of emergency operationspreventionmitigation, preparation, response, or emergency evacuation and recovery. It can be safely assumed that during a war, educational institutions are likely to be specific targets of air attacks. In such situations, if proper precautions are not taken, any chance hit might cause unduly heavy toll of casualties. Protective arrangements in educational institutions will assure the parents of the safety of their children and thus any cause for panic or fear will be reduced to the minimum. Like every educational institute, SSDWIT has its own Civil Defense committee consists of Nodal Officer, Chief Warden, In charge Welfare Service and In charge Fire Service . In this committee faculty members along with volunteer students are there to help the institute at the time of emergency. Every year training workshop is being organized in the campus for the volunteers. In this workshop, experts from local civil defense organization provide training to students.
