On the occasion of Shri Geeta Jayanti एक मिनट एक साथ गीता पाठ was recited in college campus on 11th December,2024 at 11 am.

Under the supervision of Dr. Neeru Garg(Principal), SSD Girls’ College, Bathinda organized a grand welcome ceremony for its newly formed committee of SSD Sabha and SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges. The event was marked with enthusiasm and a spirit of collaboration as members of SSD Sabha and SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges were introduced and honored for their commitment to the organization. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome of Advocate Abhey Singla, who has rejoined as the President of SSD Sabha, and all members of the new committees were presented with bouquets as a gesture of appreciation. Dr. Neeru Garg extended her heartfelt congratulations to the team and formally introduced the members, emphasizing their pivotal role in steering the Sabha towards growth and excellence. Advocate Abhey Singla, President of SSD Sabha, shared his joy over the victory and reaffirmed his commitment to serve the community. He expressed gratitude for the trust and support received from the members and pledged to uphold the Sabha’s values. Advocate Sanjay Goyal, President of SSDGGC, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing teamwork and collective efforts in achieving the colleges’ goals. The program was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Monika Bansal, Associate Professor in Computer Science, who ensured the seamless flow of the event. The ceremony concluded with an air of positivity and determination, as the newly formed committee vowed to work diligently for the betterment of the Sabha and the community it serves.

SSD Women’s Institute of Technology celebrated its annual prize distribution function on 5th Oct. 2024 under the guidance of Adv Sanjay Goyal ( President,SSDGGC) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal, SSD WIT qnd SSDGGC) . Ms. Poonam Singh( ADC, Bathinda ) was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on this occasion . ADV. Abhay Singla ( President, SSD Sabha, Bathinda) graced this programme with his presence as Guest of Honour. Adv. Rajiv Gupta (Patron, SSDGGC), Office bearers of SSD Sabha, members of the Executive Committee of SSDGGC also graced this occasion with their presence.
The programme commenced with the floral welcome of the chief guest followed by a ceremonial lamp lightning by the Hon’ble chief guest. Students performed Ganesh Vandana . After that Adv. Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGGC) formally welcomed the chief guest as well as other dignitaries. Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal, SSDGC & SSDWIT) presented the college annual report of the year. Many students danced to the tunes of songs representing “ Unity in Diversity” . The Chief Guest gave away medals to university merit holders and prizes to the academically meritorious students of the college. Ms. Meenakshi (MBA) was honoured with Gold medal for first position in university merit. Silver medals were also given to Ms. Meenakshi( MBA -1 for Ist position) Ms chanchal (MBA-1 for 2nd ),Ms. Shubhpreet Kaur(MCA -3 for 2nd position) and Ms. Bindia (MCA-2 for 3rd position). In addition to this, Best volunteer RRC award was bestowed to (Shipali Garg),Ms. Meenakshi ( MBA) was honoured with ‘College Color Award’. In this Annual cum prize distribution function , prizes were distributed to Nearly 17 students of MCA,MBA for their excellent academic ranks . College management honoured Dr.Neetu Goyal (HOD, Mgt.) on completion of her 25 years of service. It was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the college. The chief guest inspired and appreciated the students by her words of wisdom and shared her college life experience . She stated that she felt highly honoured and elated to have visited SSD Women’s Institute of Technology. She urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements as appreciation gives them indomitable strength to face the world. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Neetu Goyal (HOD, Management Department). The stage was conducted by Dr.Ekta ( Assoc Prof.in CS). Programme culminated with the National.

On 30th September 2024, SSD Girls’ College Bathinda and Guru Kashi University,Talwandi Sabo jointly organized an inter-college quiz competition in the premises of SSD Girls’ College . AIG Intelligence Ms. Avneet Kaur was the chief guest in the first session while Bathinda (urban) MLA Sr.Jagroop Singh Gill was the chief guest in the second session. During this, CJM cum DLSA Secretary, Sh. Suresh Goyal and Officiating Vice Chancellor Dr. Piyush Verma, Sh. Rakesh Narula and Ms. Sarika Goyal were the special guests. Adv. Sanjay Goyal(President, SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges) welcomed all the dignitaries. A total of 10 teams participated in this quiz competition .The team of Harleen Kaur and Ekamjit Kaur of DAV College, Bathinda won the first prize of Rs. 3100. The team of SSD Girls’ College of Education, Aastha and Khushpriya got the second prize of Rs 2100 and the team of host institution (SSD Girls’ College), Niharika Sharma and Gursharan Kaur got the third prize of Rs 1100. Special honour was given to the students Yashnoor Sharma, Prabhjot Chauhan and Khushi who achieved great success. GKU, Director Media Planning cell, Rajeev Arora played the role of quiz master. Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal, SSD Girls’ College) expressed her gratitude and proposed vote of thanks. The event concluded with National Anthem.

On 21st September 2024, S.S.D. Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda, hosted a vibrant fresher party, “रूबरु,” to warmly welcome its new entrants. This eagerly anticipated event brought together seniors and juniors, fostering a sense of unity and belongingness. The event started with lamp lighting ceremony by esteemed management members & other dignitaries followed by cake cutting ceremony. Dr. Neeru Garg, Principal(SSDWIT) extended a heartfelt welcome to the newcomers, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication. She urged the students to strive for excellence , enhance their knowledge and develop their capabilities. She further added that SSDWIT is committed to provide quality and value based education. All enjoyed the dazzling performances by the seniors and juniors . Talent rounds to the ramp walk left the entire crowd be nothing less than mesmerized. Dr. Anju Garg, Ms. Gurminderjeet Kaur and Dr. Pooja Goswami judged the different modelling rounds. At the end of the event the most awaited titles for the event was bagged by Chahat as Ms. FRESHER, Ms. Ankita as 1st RUNNER UP, Ms. Angel as 2nd RUNNER UP ,Ms.Nandini as Miss Haseen, Ms. Muskan as Miss Nazakat , Ms. Marileen as Miss Mashallah.
The party was honoured with gracious presence by Adv. Sanjay Goyal (President,SSDGGC), Sh.Vikas Garg ( Gen.Secy.,SSDGC) Ashutosh Chandar Sharma ( Secretary, SSDWIT) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) . The tireless efforts and coordination by the faculty members , senior batch students and freshers made this a memorable day for all.

Under the able guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), SSDWIT, Bathinda organized intra-college ‘Quiz Competition- 2024’ on 18th September, 2024. Preliminary round was conducted in the form of written test. Out of 35 participants, 15 students were shortlisted. There were 5 teams comprising 3 participants in each for intra -college quiz competition. The event was started in the presence of Principal Dr. Neeru Garg by the organizing committee. There were total four rounds. All the participants witnessed an enthusiastic participation. Team-C of Prisha , Jiya, Kanchan got first position. Team-B (Aarti, Bhumika, Babita) secured second position and 3rd position was won by Team-D comprised with students Bhumi, Dhanisha, Twinkle. Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) distributed momentos and certificates to the winning teams and motivated them to always take part in such activities. Adv. Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGGC) and Sh. Ashutosh Chander (Secretary, SSDWIT) also appreciated the efforts put by incharges Ms. Navdeep Kaur (Assistant Professor, Management) and Dr. Shaveta (Convener, SSDWIT-IIC) for organizing this event.

This day is celebrated on 5th September 2024 in commemoration of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well-known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher. To carry forward this tradition, SSD College, Bathinda celebrated this occasion with much vigor and enthusiasm.

Under the able guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg “Talent Hunt 2024” was organised on 4th September,2024 in S. S. D Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda to showcase the hidden talent of the students. This event comprises of various competitions such as literary items, fine arts items and pardarshani lok kalavan. Total 28 students participated enthusiastically in this competition and displayed their creativity. Prizes were distributed to the winners. In Debate competition Sneha &Simran stood first. In slogan writing Lovepreet stood first. In Rangoli Balwinder stood first. In clay modeling Kajal, Harman & sharleen secured Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively. Appreciation prizes were given to the participants of Elocution, Poem recitation, on the spot painting, poster making, Nala banuana , khido banuani and sevian watna competitions. Adv Sanjay Goyal (President), Sh. Ashutosh Chandar Sharma ( Secretary, SSDWIT), and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) congratulated the youth co-ordinator Ms.Navdeep Kaur(Asst Prof) and all participants for their efforts.

Janmashtami celebration in SSD college temple on 26th August ,2024

S.S.D. Group of Girls’ Colleges organised Teej Festival ‘Teeyan Teej Diyan’ on 17th August 2024. The function started with the floral welcome of the Dignitaries followed by Lamp Lightening Ceremony performed by Sh. Abhey Singla (President, S.S.D. Sabha), Adv. Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGC), Mrs. Kiran Goyal (Chief Guest), Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal, SSDGC & SSDWIT) and executive members of the Sabha. Dr. Neeru Garg, welcomed the guests with her kind words. Guest Dance Item was performed by Nandini and Group to greet the guests.
Various on-stage and off-stage competitions were organised in which students of SSDWIT and SSDGC participated enthusiastically. On-Stage events include Group Dance competition, Miss Teej competition. Gidha and Lammi Hek wale Geet. Gidhha and Bhangra performances were the other main attractions of this fest. Muskan Verma was honoured with “Miss Teej” title. Chrandeep kaur was honoured with the title “Miss Majajan” and
Deepali goyal was honoured with the title as “Miss Punjaban”.
Off-stage competitions which include Mehandi Competition, Hair Style Competition, Seviyan Wattan Competition, and Rakhi Making Competition.

The festival ended with the distribution of Prizes to the winners. Adv. Sanjay Goyal congratulated Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal )and the faculty members over the successful completion of the event and motivated them to continue with such events in the future as well too.

The management of S. S. D. Girls’ College has evolved ecological strategies to actualize the goal of sustainable development. To achieve this goal college has installed 100 KWP Solar Power Plant in the campus. On 17th August 2024, SSD Sabha President Adv. Abhey Singla inaugurated the solar Power plant.

Under the guidance of Adv. Sanjay Goyal (President) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), NSS and Red Ribbon Club units of SSD Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda observed International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2024 in college premises. Ms. Vandana (Yoga Trainer) conducted a yoga and meditation session. Ms. Manisha Bhatnagar (HOD, CS) and Dr. Monika Bansal (NSS Programme Officer) welcomed the resource person. On this day, Ms. Vandana demonstrated various asanas to increase the productivity of our health and reduce mental stress. All the faculty members and many students participated in this celebration with fervor and enthusiasm.

“RUKHSAT” a farewell party was organized at SSD Women’s Institute of Technology,Bathinda for the final year students of MCA & MBA on april 24,2024. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers ,to reminisce joyous moments .The auditorium was festooned with decoration. Being a colorful affair, the farewell bash rocked the day for all the party attendees.
The party started with floral welcome of honourable president Adv. Sh Sanjay Goyal along with management members and Dr.Neeru Garg (Principal, SSDWIT) followed by auspicious lamp lightening ceremony.
The management members , Madam Principal and all the faculty members gave blessings to the students of outgoing classes. Heart throbbing dances, fun games, and cultural performances of students made the atmosphere extremely energetic . Madam Principal enlightened the students with her inspirational speech.Outgoing students did modeling with great enthusiasm and on the basis of different rounds they were given various titles. Ms.Manpreet kaur won the title of Miss Farewell, Ms Himanshi: 1st Runner up, Ms.Vimsh:2nd Runner up, Ms Rumpa: Best Attire, Ms.Aditi: Best Hair style, Ms.Sapna: Dazzling Eyes. Judges of the Modelling were Ms. Kiran goyal, Ms. Manisha jindal, Ms. Shaheena Chander. Principal Dr.Neeru Garg along with jury members crowned the winners and congratulated them. She also motivated them to empower themselves for their future endeavours.

 

 

 

 

SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges, Bathinda organized 42nd Inter-college Annual Athletic Meet on 1st March,2024 in college premises in which SSD Women’s Institute of Technology participated enthusiastically. The chief Guest of the event was Hon’ble Jagroop Gill (MLA, Bathinda (Urban)) and the Guest of Honour was Adv. Abhey Singla (President, S.S.D. Sabha). Sh.Sukhdeep Singh Dhillon was also present as special guest. Sh. Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGGC) welcomed the guests. The events started with March-Past by the athletes and the Chief Guest took the salute from them. The Chief-guest declared the Sports Meet open and hoisted the flag. Athletes Priya, Rachana, Preety and Gurleen successfully conducted the Torch Lightning Ceremony followed by the Oath taking Ceremony which was administered by Jasmeen. After the National Anthem, there were dance performances by students. Total 12 sports events took place in which the students performed in various sports events with full enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The Winners of the events were honoured with medals. Lalita kumari was entitled as the Best Athlete. The Chief Guest honoured the Band students from S.S.D Public School. He addressed the spectators by saying that such types of Sports Meet are necessary for the institutions to arouse the team spirit in students. He also appreciated the continuous efforts of the S.S.D institutions for uplifting the society. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal). The stage was conducted by Dr. Ekta Garg (Associate.prof. CS). After the prize distribution ceremony, the sports meet was declared closed. Adv. Sanjay Goyal(President SSDGCC), Sh. Ashutosh chander sharma (Sec.SSDWIT) congratulated Dr. Neeru Garg and Ms. Neha Watts and Ms. Navita Singla(Sports In-charge, SSDWIT) and the faculty members of the college for the successful completion of this Annual Athletic Meet.

 

 

 

Under the supervision of Dr. Neeru Garg(Principal), SSDWIT organised various competitions under Greenies-Eco Club from 26th – 29th February, 2024. All the competitions were based on the theme “Save Water”. Nodal Officer of Eco Club Dr. Monika Bansal all the dignitaries. About 60 students participated in poster making, slogan writing, PPT presentation and wall painting competitions. The wall painting competition was judged by Adv Abhay Singla (President, SSD Sabha), and Adv Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGGC). Students of management department won 1st prize, students of computer department won 2nd prize and 3rd prize. All participants designed beautiful paintings on the theme save water. Other competitions were judged by Ms. Manisha Bhatnagar (HOD, CS) and Ms. Neetu Garg (HOD, Mgt dept). In PPT presentation, Ms Simranjeet Kaur secured first position, Ms Gorushi secured 2nd position and Ms Sneha secured 3rd position. In poster making competition, Ms. Geetanjali, Ms. Lovepreet and Ms. Mohini were 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners respectively. In slogan writing competition, Ms. Mohini and Ms. Gorushi got 1st and 2nd prize respectively. A number of beautiful plants were also sown in college campus.

Adv Sanjay Goyal (President), Sh. Ashutosh Chandar Sharma ( Secretary, SSDWIT), Sh. Durgesh Jindal ( Secretary, SSDGCE) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) distributed the prizes and certificates to all the winners. Thereafter, Dr. Neeru Garg highlighted the basic steps that every student should take in their routine life to conserve water and also congratulated the organizers and participants for the successful completion of these competitions.

Under the guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February, 2024 in college premises. This day was celebrated to commemorate the path breaking discovery of ‘The Raman Effect’ by Sir C. V. Raman. The event was started with the floral welcome of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal). On this occasion, Slogan Writing and Fancy Dress Competitions were organized. Students from undergraduate and post graduate classes participated in both events with full enthusiasm. Ms. Tamanna (MBA-2) and Ms. Paramjeet Kaur (MBA-2) highlighted the significance of Science in our lives through their speech. In Slogan Writing, Ms. Sarin secured 1st position, Ms.Bhavya Arora was on 2nd and Ms. Arshdeep Kaur secured 3rd position. Consolation prizes were also given to Ms. Manisha and Ms. Kanchan. In Fancy Dress Competition, 1st position was grabbed by Ms. Bhumi, Ms. Rumpa was on 2nd position and 3rd position was secured by Ms. Ekpreet Kaur Ahuja and Ms. Manveer Kaur. Consolation prize was given to Ms. Sneha. Dr. Neeru Garg distributed certificates and prizes to the winners and motivated them to take part in such type of activities. Management and principal mam appreciated the efforts put by the event incharges Ms. Navdeep Kaur(Assistant Professor in Management Department), Ms. Samridhi (Assistant Professor in English), and Dr. Shaveta (Co-coordinator, Institution’s Innovation Council) for organizing this event.
