Eligibility Condition: The students who have completed graduation of minimum 3 years duration in BCA/ BSc.IT/ BSc.Computer Science with 50% marks with maths as a course at 10+2 level or at graduate level shall be eligible for admission to 2nd year of MCA Course.

S.S.D.Women’s Institute of Technology, organized Guest Lecture
On 8th March, 2017 a Guest lecture on “Wireless Sensor and its Applications” for MCA was organized in SSDWIT by technical Committee of SSDWIT, Bathinda. The lecture was guided by Dr. Vandana Jindal (HOD, Computer Science and applications, DAV College, Bathinda). She specializes in wireless sensor networks and databases. She briefed the students about the concepts related to wireless Sensors. It was an enlighting session as she shared real life experiences. This guest lecture was organized under guidance of Advocate Sh. Somnath Baghla(President, SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges, Bathinda) Sh. Ajay Gupta(Secretary), Sh. Vikas Kumar Garg(Admn Secretary) and Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar (Principal, SSDWIT) by Mrs. Ekta and Mrs. Vibha (Asst.Prof. Computer Science).

The resource person of Workshop was “Mr. Sanjay Bhatnagar” (Associate Professor, Computer Science and Applications , Director of IT services, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda).It was an interesting and knowledgeable session. A trip for the entertainment for the students of all the classes from Bathinda to Jalandhar was organized on 07.04.2016 by Ms.Ekta(Asst. prof computer science) and Ms.Vibha(Asst. prof computer science) under the auspices of Ms. Manisha Bhatnagar(Offic.Principal).Teachers who went along with students Ms.Shalli((Asst. prof computer science),Ms.Heena(Asst. prof computer science),Ms.Armaan(Asst. prof computer science).
MANTHAN-16 two days inter college competition begins at SSD Women”s institute of Technology on 17th March, 2016. Ms.Amita Singh, CJM cum secretary DLSA came as a chief guest. Mrs. Amarjeet Kaur, district education officer came as a guest of honour. Sh.Nand Lal Garg (president SSD Group of girls colleges) welcomed the chief guest. The chief guest and guest of honour were escorted by Sh. Anil Bhola,Sec. SSD Wit, Dr. P.K.gupta, Gen sec. SSD Girls College and Sh Ajay Gupta,Sec. SSD Girls College of Education along with Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar (Principal,SSDWIT). This competition comprises of 19 events. Near about 20 colleges of malwa region participated in it. Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar Principal SSDWIT delievered welcomed speech. The programme started by Ganesh vandana followed by on stage events, Bollywood hungama, skit, Rock n Rolls, 47 seconds to fame, Corporate Roadies(Final Round) caught the attention of the audience. SSD news brought in to light various achievements of the college in different fields. Hobby Huts comprises of face painting, Tattoo making, Food without fire, remained the centre of attraction for all. Off stage events, Mind twister & Web designing, Corporate Roadies(pre) were held. A selfie station was set to attract the visitors. Through lucky draw different prizes were given to all. Considering the atmosphere, event setup, cooperation of SSD WIT personages, all the invited colleges and participants seemed to be in full swing. Principal Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar welcomed all the participating colleges. The chief- guest gave away prizes to the winning teams. Mrs. Ekta Dixit, Asst. prof. in computer science gave a vote of thanks.
On the second day it started with full swing. The second day was graced by the arrival of IAS Mrs. Parampal Kaur Sidhu, Addt. Deputy commissioner as a chief guest and Ms. Amrit Singh, IAS Assistant Commissioner as a guest of honour. Mrs. Manisha Bhatnagar Principal SSDWIT welcomed the guests, staff & students.On second day the programme started by shabad followed by Debate competition, Mirror dance, Corporate fashion show, solo song & RJ hunt. The second part of SSD News was broadcasted. Students from various colleges showed great interest in various off stage events like Technical writing, Poetry writing, Rangoli, Hair style & Nail art. Visitors and students enjoyed a lot in hobby huts contains various food stalls, Exhibition, Lucky Draw & Selfie Station. Gyan tambola was organized to thrill the audience with knowledge as well as with entertainment. At last the chief guest gave the prizes to winners. Sh. Nand Lal Garg, President thanked all the guests & said that such competitions lifted the spirit of the students & provided a vast platform where youth could show their talent . Mrs. Vibha Gupta Asst prof. in computer science gave a vote of thanks. To make the events a grand success all the organizers & students are working round the clock for several weeks.
